Nordic girls check Forest Park, 50-22
CRYSTAL FALLS — North Dickinson led 16-5 after the first quarter and defeated Forest Park 50-22 in girls basketball Tuesday.
The Nordics were led by Micah Lindholm with 15 points. Kassandra Cary and Ashton Hord added 11 points each.
“We started very strong tonight and played a pretty good four quarters,” said North Dickinson coach Kirk Mattson. “We had seven girls scoring — three in double figures — which was good to see.”
Forest Park coach Kim Bjork credited the Nordics for being more aggressive on both ends of the floor.
“They have a young well- rounded team and if they peak at the right time they will have a good chance to win some games in the postseason,” she said.
The Nordics (7-5) will look to extend their winning streak to five games when they host Stephenson on Thursday.
The Forest Park JVs won 59-20. FP hosts Norway Thursday.
