Wonders a state award finalist
DETROIT — Iron Mountain senior Foster Wonders is among 12 finalists for the Detroit Athletic Club Michigan High School Athlete of the Year award.
“These 12 were chosen from among the finest high school athletes in the state, based on athletics, academics and citizenship,” said Shannon Murray, athletic development director.
The annual award started in 1996. Presentations will take place in downtown Detroit at the Detroit Athletic Club, with the date to be announced.

Sarah Marvin – track and field athlete from Byron High School
Justine Murdock – swimmer from Cranbrook Kingswood
Audrey DeDamio – cross country and track Athlete from Seaholm High School
Julia Bishop – volleyball and basketball player from Mercy High School
Shannon Kennedy – golfer from Marian High School
Kali Heivilin- softball player from Three Rivers High School
Male:
Brady Rose- football player from Mona Shores High School
Miles Brown – cross country and track athlete from Novi High School
Alex Mooney – baseball player from Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Prep
Nathan Walker – cross country and track athlete from Fremont High School
Foster Wonders – basketball player from Iron Mountain High School
William Cooksey- tennis player from University Liggett School
