Niagara golfers host M&O event at Oak Crest
Florence, Pembine golfers compete at George Young
NORWAY — Niagara’s golf team hosted a Marinette-Oconto Conference golf meet at Oak Crest Golf Club in Norway on Tuesday. The hosts finished seventh in the event with a 265.
The Badgers were led by Oren Loukus with a 59, followed by Nate Olson, 62; Gavin Holdaway, 64, and Hunter French, 80.
Medalist was Kaden Bailey of St. Thomas Aquinas Academy with a three-over-par 39 on the Oak Crest front nine. Coleman took the team title with a 192, and currently leads the overall M&O team standings with a 989.
Bailey leads the individual overall standings in the M&O with a 193.
On Monday at Hunter’s Glen Golf Course in Crivitz, The Badgers finished in sixth place with a 260. Holdaway carded a team-low 57, followed by Loukus with a 60.
Olson was next with a 63 and French came in with an 80 to round out Niagara’s Monday lineup.
Bailey was once again medalist with a 39, while Coleman repeated the 192 score to take the team title at Hunter’s Glen.
Johnson finishes runner-up with a 44
Florence’s Matt Johnson shot a 44 and finished in third place as the Bobcats hosted a Northern Lakes Conference meet at George Young Golf course in Iron County on Tuesday.
Brock Taff shot a 48 and Tyler Neihaus carded a 64 for the Bobcats.
Pembine, who shot a 288, had four golfers compete, led by Gabe Seidel with a 61. Bella Newlin came in with a 70, Bli Cadieux shot a 73 and Jordan Wallschlaeger carded an 84.
Laona-Wabeno shot a meet-low 183 with Reed Christianson and Ryan Simonis of the Rebels tying for medalist at 41.
Florence and Pembine compete in an NLC match hosted by Three Lakes on Friday.
