Patriots tame Ladycats, 6-5

PEMBINE, Wis. — Goodman-Pembine pitcher Kalen Berger fanned 13 batters, while Florence pitcher Sidney Tomczak struck out nine, as the Lady Patriots defeated their Northern Lakes Conference rivals, 6-5 Tuesday evening in Pembine.

Rebekah Stretzel and Katelyn Nelson each cracked triples, with Nelson adding a double for G-P. Both the Tomczak sisters, Morgan and Sidney had double’s for the Ladycats, as did freshman Isabella Millan.

The Patriots return to action today as they travel to Elcho, while Florence returns home to host Laona-Wabeno on Friday afternoon. Both games are also NLC matchups.
