ISHPEMING — West Iron remained undefeated (6-0), after a clean sweep, 8-0 of non-conference foe Ishpeming here Monday afternoon.

“The singles played some nice points out and limited their unforced errors throughout their matches. Doubles play has been steady all season,” said Wykons head coach Joe Serbentas.

West Iron will return home to host non–conference foe Negaunee this afternoon, before hosting back-to-back Great Northern Conference foes Marquette on Wednesday and Gladstone on Friday.

“We will be tested the next couple days as we take on undefeated Negaunee and a solid Marquette squad. Hopefully we can build some momentum down the stretch to prepare for the big tournaments — GNC’s and U.P’s– at the end of the month,” Serbentas added.
