Florence golfer all-conference
FLORENCE, Wis. — Florence’s Matt Johnson earned first team all-conference honors after shooting a 104 at the Northern Lakes Conference meet hosted by Florence at Young’s Golf Course in Iron River.
Johnson finished the conference season with a per nine-hole average of 47.71.
Ryan Simonis of Laona-Wabeno was the conference player of the year with a 41.42 average. The other first team golfers were Reed Christianson and Gage Liptack of Laona-Wabeno and Tyler Sprink of Crandon.
Liptack was the medalist in Friday’s match with a 96.
Also golfing for Florence were Brock Taff and Tyler Niehaus, tied at 121. Justus Morrison led Pembine with a 123, followed by Gabe Seidel and Kassy Mazur, both at 124.
Laona-Wabeno placed first in the conference. Crandon finished second, followed by Three Lakes, Florence, Pembine and Elcho.
