“The girls strong serving and playing well at the net with strong heads, were the keys to our win tonight,” said Iron mountain head coach Jeanne Newberry. “I am looking forward to the West PAC Tournament on Saturday. Our team is getting stronger with every competition.”

West Iron won the jayvee match, 2-0 while Iron Mountain won the freshmen contest by the same, 2-0 score.

Both teams will travel to Houghton and Hancock High Schools for Saturday’s West PAC Conference Tournament. The Wykons will travel to non-conference foe Norway on Monday before hosting cross county non-conference rival Forest Park on Tuesday.

Iron Mountain travels to dual conference foe Gwinn on Tuesday for a West PAC and Mid-Peninsula Conference matchup, before traveling to Hancock on Thursday for West PAC action.
