Four Bobcat gridders tabbed as 8-player all-conference

FLORENCE, Wis. — Four Florence Bobcat football players were named to the West Division All-Conference First Team, as the Marinette & Oconto Northern Lakes Packerland 8 East and West Divisions recently announced their 2021 all-conference teams.
Sophomore offensive lineman Bryce Leffler was the lone selection to the first team on the offensive side of the football. Junior defensive back Evan Johnson, senior linebacker Trent Watkins and sophomore punter Isaiah Fennessy were first team selections on defense.
Johnson as a running back, and Leffler as a defensive lineman were second team selections. The lone honorable mention for the Bobcats was senior offensive lineman Tyler Novak.
The MONLPC 8 West Division had co-offensive players of the year selected senior running back Ashton Maney of Three Lakes/Phelps and senior quarterback Connor Taylor of Laona-Wabeno. Junior defensive lineman Hunter Cronauer was named the West Division defensive player of the year.
In the MONLPC 8 East Division, senior quarterback Sam Lindenberg of Gibralter was named offensive player of the year, while junior linebacker Josh Kristof of Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Academy was the defensive player of the year selection.
