Players honored as part of the 2021 Michigan Associated Press Division 5-6 All-State football team, which is selected by a statewide panel of 12 sports writers in the state, were recently announced.

A number of players from the western U.P. received all-state recognition, including the following:

WIDE RECEIVER: Zach Person, Kingsford, Sr.

LINEMEN: Hunter Potier, Gladstone, Sr.; and Lenny Bjorn, Calumet, Sr.

LINEBACKERS: Brett Peterson, Kingsley, Sr.

KICKER: Diego Przeslakowski, Kingsford, Sr.
