Kingsford rallies for win

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Kingsford Flivvers scored twice in the third period to record a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over visiting Manistique on Tuesday at Mountain View Ice Arena.
Hunter Fortner scored off assists by Nick Burgoon and David Juul at 10:52 and then Jaxon Buckley rang up the game winner, assisted by Evan Moyer, at 15:28.
Manistique, in its first year as a high school program, scored its goal at 12:28 of the opening period when Jude Way recorded a goal off an assist by Blake Walther.
Kingsford (3-10-1) won two of the three games played against Manistique this year.
Flivver goalie Isaiah Anderson stopped 31 of 32 shots to notch the victory in net.
The Emeralds outshot Kingsford 32-24.
