EAST LANSING — The Michigan High School Athletic Association has released its brackets for the 2022 girls basketball district tournaments.

Locally, in the Division 2 District 33 hosted by Negaunee, the Kingsford Flivvers (7-10) will face third-ranked Houghton Gremlins (16-2) in Houghton on Wednesday, March 2. The winner will take on the winner of the matchup between Escanaba (10-6) and fifth-ranked Negaunee (14-5) on Friday, March 4.

In the Division 3 District 66 hosted by Bark River-Harris, Iron Mountain (6-12) will travel to Gladstone to face the Braves (6-12) on Monday, Feb. 28. On the same night, West Iron County (7-12) takes the three-hour trip to Manisitque to face the Emeralds (4-13).

The winner of Iron Mountain-Gladstone will play at top-seeded Menominee (12-6) on Wednesday, March 2, while the West Iron-Manistique victor gets the host Broncos (11-6) on the same night. The final is set for Friday March 4.

In the Division 4 District 99 hosted by Norway, the host Knights (8-9) welcome Forest Park (2-15) on Monday, Feb. 28. The same evening, North Central (4-12) will host Stephenson (5-12).

On Wednesday, March 2, the Norway-Forest Park winner gets top-seeded and second-ranked Carney-Nadeau (16-1), while the North Central-Stephenson victor will face North Dickinson (11-7) in Felch Township.

The final is scheduled for Friday, March 4.
