NLC coaches honor Ladycats hoops duo

Millan, a sophomore, was picked to the league’s first time as one of three unanimous selections. Meanwhile, Johnson, a freshman, was given honorable mention.
The NLC offensive player of the year was Three Lakes senior Kara Sowinski, while the league’s defensive player of the year was Crandon junior Mara Stamper.
Andrew Harrison of Laona-Wabeno and Michele Brown of Three Lakes were selected as co-coaches of the year for leading their teams to a three-way tie for the conference championship with Crandon.
Joining Millan on the first team were Sowinski, Stamper, Crandon junior Holly Palubicki (unanimous) and Laona-Wabeno senior Elizabeth Krawze (unanimous).

The second team consisted of Elcho senior Lilly Reinke, Laona-Wabeno junior Grace Krawze and Three Lakes’ Kallie Volk (junior), Mari Szews (senior) and Sara Gruszynski (senior).
Other players given honorable mention included Crandon senior Ava Neilitz, Crandon freshman Lauren Littleton, Elcho sophomore Sabrina Hatfield-Franske and Laona-Wabeno’s Kaylyn LaRock (junior) and Rylee Yaeger (sophomore).
