Nordics jump on SC early to notch 5th straight win
FELCH TOWNSHIP – A dominant first quarter sparked the North Dickinson Nordics to their fifth straight victory Thursday, a 60-37 verdict over Superior Central at Carl F. Lemin Gymnasium.
Trenton Kramer recorded 10 of his game-high 22 points and Ty King notched six of his 17 points in the opening period as the Nordics built a 21-4 lead.
North Dickinson (7-1) took a 45-20 advantage into halftime and then sped away with a 15-4 third quarter to head into the fourth with a 60-24 lead.
The Nordics did not score in the fourth when the Cougars (7-2) cut 13 points off their deficit.
King led ND in rebounding with six, Spencer Kramer finished with a team-high five assists and Trenton Kramer, Brady Jungwirth and King all posted three steals.
The Nordics registered 19 assists and 19 steals and shot 44% from the field.
During their current winning streak, the Nordics have held opponents to 35.6 points per game while scoring 58.8
North Dickinson heads to Norway on Monday for one of the most interesting matchups of the season to this point. The Knights (7-2) had won seven consecutive games heading into their game against Bark River-Harris (2-3) on Friday.

Vic Giuliani scored 21 points to lead Forest Park to a home win on Thursday, draining a pair of three-pointers and shooting 69% from the field.
The Trojans also got double-digit scoring from Lyle Price with 15 points and Izaiah Tarter with 11.
Seth Oberlin led the Wykons with 12 points.
The Trojans (7-2) travel to Bark River-Harris on Monday. West Iron (1-7) will be at Houghton on Monday.
