Forest Park edged Stephenson and host North Dickinson to claim the girls title Wednesday at the North Dickinson Booster Club Invitational track and field event.

Rapid River cruised to the boys win, while Norway placed second.

In the girls meet, Forest Park was led by Ava Fischer, who won the pole vault and both the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles, and placed third in the shot put.

North Dickinson’s Aunika Lindholm won the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs. Forest Park captured the 4×400 relay while the Nordics took the 4×800 event. North Dickinson’s Aubrey Applekamp won the high jump.

In the boys meet, Norway and Forest Park dominated the relays, while Florence-Niagara’s Jackson Courts captured the 3200-meter run. The Trojans’ Dietrich Rasner prevailed in the 300 hurdles.

Norway’s Josh Schiltz swept the shot put and discus. The Knights got second-place finishes from Kaleb LaPine in the long jump and Anthony Pineda in both the high jump and the 200 meters.

Stephenson’s Faith Cappaert swept the 100, 400, and 800 runs in the girls competition. Only a win by Norway’s Lauren Adams in the 200 kept her from claiming a fourth first-place finish. Adams, meanwhile, was second in the 100 and 400.

Florence-Niagara’s Kelsi Chrisman was third in the 100, fourth in the 200 and 400, and second in the long jump.
