Kingsford sophomore Aubrie Moore earned honorable mention in the Michigan Division 2 All-State girls basketball team selected by a panel of 13 sports writers.

Gladstone senior Lillie Johnson was a first-team pick and Negaunee junior Gretel Johnson was named to the second team.

Kendyl Smith of Flint Powers Catholic was selected Player of the Year.

Coach of the Year went to Jason Gray of Goodrich — the undefeated MHSAA Division 2 state champions.

Joining Johnson on the first team were Sophia Prins, Grand Rapids South Christian; Sadie Dykstra, Yale; Baylor Lauinger, Goodrich; Vanessa Rodriguez, Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard; Kendyl Smith, Flint Powers Catholic; Chloe Bullinger, Tecumseh; Ly’Nique Cunningham, South Haven; Emersen Holder, Warren Regina; Jozelynn Begick, Freeland; and Kaitlyn Johnson, Haslett.
