Students from Iron Mountain Central Middle School recently released 115 classroom-raised Chinook salmon into the Carp River in Marquette County. After the release, everyone toured the Marquette State Fish Hatchery. The students finished up the day with lunch at the Ellwood A. Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette. Iron Mountain teacher Robin Marttila and the students thanked Wildlife Unlimited of Dickinson County for its continued support of the Salmon in the Classroom program.
