Musky, grouse hunters enjoy the fall warm-up
IRON MOUNTAIN — Warmer weather has improved fishing while grouse hunters are taking advantage of declining cover as November draws near. “Anglers were reporting a mixed bag of bass, pike and walleye,” said Fay Whisler at Whisler Outdoors in Florence, Wis. “Musky fishermen are having some luck, but most catches are on the small side.” With the grouse season in full swing, hunters were reporting “lots of birds,” Whisler said.
