IRON MOUNTAIN — The Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50 will host a fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at the hall. The dinners will include a choice of three-piece cod or eight fried shrimp, along with fries, baked beans and cole slaw. Cost is $14 per plate. Dine-in or takeout is available. IRON RIVER — The Iron County Genealogical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, in the J. Patrick White Conference Room of the West Iron District Library. The group will take a trip down Memory Lane watching a video, “A Millennium of Changes (Iron River, Stambaugh and Mineral Hills).” Five communities are in the vicinity of the Iron River.
