Dickinson County Community Chorus rehearsals on Tuesdays

KINGSFORD — The Dickinson County Community Chorus rehearsals are 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. on Tuesdays in the fellowship hall of the First Presbyterian Church, 395 Hamilton Ave. in Kingsford. The chorus is preparing for the upcoming Holy Week Concert that will be presented on March 26. The last day to join for the season is Tuesday, Jan. 30. There is no charge for membership in the chorus, and there are no auditions. However, prospective new members should possess some knowledge of choral singing. Post 50 hosts fish fry tonight

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50 will host a fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. today at the hall. The dinners will include a choice of three-piece cod or 10 fried shrimp, along with fries, baked beans and coleslaw. Cost is $13 per plate. Dine-in or take out is available. The post will conduct fish fries weekly.

Niagara hoops tourney Feb. 3-4

NIAGARA, Wis. — The Niagara Lions Club men’s basketball tournament will be held Feb. 3 and 4 at Niagara Public Schools. The two-day tournament will use two gyms on campus and there will be a two-game guarantee. Format will be determined based on the number of teams entered. Trophies will be awarded to the winning team as well as a runner-up trophy. A tournament MVP will be selected and awarded a trophy. Entry fee is $150 and entry deadline is Jan. 28. Stamp Club meets Tuesday

IRON MOUNTAIN — The monthly meeting of the Northwoods Philatelic Society stamp club is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Fellowship Room of First Lutheran Church, 1210 S.
