Guidelines for election letters

The Daily News will print letters related to the Aug. 6 primary elections through Thursday, Aug. 1, with submissions due no later than 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 31. Letters should be no more than 250 words, preferably sent by email. To ensure all can have their say, new letter-writers will take priority over those whose election views already have been published if space becomes tight. The Daily News reserves the right to reject letters if the facts are in error or cannot be verified. Personal attacks will not be printed. Support Meals on Wheels millage

With the upcoming Aug. 6 vote to renew the Iron County Meals on Wheels nutrition program millage, I am writing to inform area residents of just how much these dollars impact our area seniors. In just one year, the Meals on Wheels millage funds provided for 23,407 meals to be delivered to 128 homebound seniors. The millage dollars cover food costs, staffing, vehicle gas and maintenance, insurances and other related expenses. EDITOR: Six members of the Supreme Court have taken the path of the judges in Nazi Germany. They have put their loyalty to Donald Trump over their loyalty to the U.S. Constitution. There is precedent, as noted in the UCLA Law Review. EDITOR: Well, the American people finally saw the truth on the CNN debate. I had friends say they were shocked at Biden’s condition. Oh really? These people were shocked because they were watching the wrong news networks. But what really shocked me was how fast CNN and MSNBC turned on Biden, that very night. These two networks have been covering for Biden’s condition for years. Joe Scarborough of MSNBC just said a couple weeks ago that Biden was sharp as a tack!
