Beechwood Historical Society hosts Soup and Salad Bar event

IRON RIVER TOWNSHIP — The Beechwood Historical Society will host a Soup and Salad Bar fundraiser Saturday at the Beechwood Hall. A variety of soups, fixings for a salad, bread, dessert and beverage will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. The all-you-can-eat dinner is $10 per person. They will also have raffle baskets. The event is a fundraiser to heat the buildings. The hall is on 178 Beechwood Store Road, off U.S. 2 7.5 miles west of Iron River.

Florence County Historical Society to meet

FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence County Historical Society will have its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the fellowship hall of First Presbyterian Church in Florence. The organization meets the second Tuesday of the month from March through November. Fat Tuesday dinner set

KINGSFORD — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford Knights of Columbus Bishop Baraga Council 1585 will host its annual Fat Tuesday dinner Tuesday, Feb. 13, at the hall at 520 W. Breitung Ave. Social time will be 5 to 6 p.m., with dinner served from 6 to 7 p.m. The menu will include homemade Italian sausage and meatballs, spaghetti with tomato and garlic butter sauces and paczkis. Cost of the meal is $14 for adults, $7 for children age 5 to 12; younger than age 5 can eat for free. The public is welcome to attend.
