Come to Supper meal planned on Monday
FLORENCE, Wis. — The monthly Come to Supper free meal at the First Presbyterian Church in Florence is set for Monday. The dinner with a beverage and dessert will be served from 5 to 5:45 p.m. in Fellowship Hall at the church. The church is handicapped-accessible and help is available for anyone who needs assistance in using the elevator. A phone number posted on its door will summon a person downstairs to help. NORWAY — Tickets for the fourth-annual Holy Spirit Catholic School raffle fundraiser are still available. The 50-50 drawing raises $40,000, with half going to school and the other half awarded. Grand prize is $10,000; second is $4,000; third is $3,000; fourth is $2,000; and fifth is $1,000. Tickets are $10 each and all prizes are based on selling 4,000 tickets. Post 50 fish fry tonight
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50 will host a fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. today at the hall, 916 River Ave. in Iron Mountain. The dinner will include a choice of half-pound of smelt or eight fried shrimp, along with french fries, baked beans and coleslaw. Cost is $13 per plate.
