Free meal Sunday in Norway

NORWAY — Grace Methodist Church of Norway will offer a free community meal from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday. The menu will be ham, macaroni salad, roll and fruit. There is no cost for the dinner. The free meals will be available for takeout at the church parking lot. Reservation are required — call Chris Spense at 906-282-9752 by 4 p.m. Friday so enough food can be prepared for all. Hope Church announces 2025 Summer Reading Challenge

IRON MOUNTAIN — Hope Church of Iron Mountain invites local students from kindergarten through 12th grade to participate in their inaugural Summer Reading Challenge, kicking off Sunday and running through July 31. This initiative encourages young readers to explore exciting stories, educational resources and more throughout the summer months. Students are asked to read five books of their choice, log their progress and have an adult submit their completed reading log by Aug. 5. Revival planned Saturday

KINGSFORD — A free revival event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the pavilion at Cowboy Lake in Kingsford. The event will have free food, vendors including The Cure, the Dickinson County Cancer Loan Closet and others. Activities include face painting, a children’s Bible study table and speakers. Lunch fundraiser May 17 at St. Mary Catholic Church

NORWAY — The youth of St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway will have a lunch fundraiser on Saturday, May 17, during Norway’s Citywide Garage Sale Day. Sloppy joes, hot dogs, nachos and more, as well as a bake sale items and beverages will be available in the church hall in the lower level at 401 Main St. in Norway.
