EAGLE RIVER, Wis. — The Enchanted Doll Club of the Northwoods will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday in the meeting room of the Kalmar Community Center, 1011 Railroad St. in Eagle River. Nancy Mansavage of Eagle River will present a program titled “What's in A Name?” The focus of her presentation will be on all dolls called Nancy by their makers. Crystal Falls Musicale seeks new members
CRYSTAL FALLS — The Crystal Falls Musicale will have its first meeting of the 2025-26 season at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Christ United Methodist Church in Crystal Falls. The organization’s mission is to support music both at Forest Park Schools and the community, and to award music scholarships. Members are needed to assist with events and serve on committees; singing ability is not required. Hostesses for the meeting will be Marsha Wainio and Beverly Broad. IRON MOUNTAIN — The Northwoods Philatelic Society stamp club will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday in the fellowship room of First Lutheran Church, 1210 S. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain. The church is between Domino’s Pizza and Slumberland Furniture. A short business meeting and educational program will be followed by the usual informal stamp club auction. Niagara Lions Club golf scramble on Sept. 20
NORWAY — The Niagara Lions Club will have its annual four-player golf scramble Saturday, Sept. 20, at Oak Crest Golf Course in Norway. The shotgun start will be at 10 a.m. It is open to everyone. The cost is $45 for Oak Crest members and $80 for non-members. This includes 18 holes of golf, a cart and a chicken and spaghetti dinner. There will be a 50/50 drawing and other raffle prizes. Northwoods Geology picnic Saturday
FLORENCE, Wis. — The Northwoods Geology Club will host a picnic at 1 p.m. Saturday at Keyes Lake pavilion in Florence. The park is on the right side of Highway 101 a few miles south of Florence. The club will provide fixings for sandwiches, plus soft beverages. Everyone is asked bring a dish to pass, dessert or snack item. A short meeting will take place, including election of officers. They will also announce the September field trip. Those attending are welcome to bring any rock or mineral-related item they would like to swap, sell or give away.
