NORWAY — The Norway-Vulcan Women’s Club annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Crossroads Alliance Church hall on Odill Drive in Norway. Cost is $12 for adults and children 12 and older; $6 for ages 6 to 11. Children five and younger eat free. Proceeds from the dinner go to help support the annual NHS Scholarship Fund. The club’s regular meeting is at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, at Mike’s on Main in Norway.
FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence County Historical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Olive Avenue. Those planning to attend should note the time change. They will continue to meet at the church until the warmer weather permits. The meeting will discuss summer events. With the museum opening Saturday, June 14, the exhibit honoring Vietnam veterans will be finalized. IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain will host a monthly birding club from 10 to 11:30 a.m. starting Saturday. Programmer Emily Cummings is thrilled to be starting the club. Cummings says she has wanted to start this program for a while and is excited to kick it off at the start of spring. IRON RIVER TOWNSHIP — The Beechwood Historical Society will host a Soup and Salad Bar fundraiser Saturday at the Beechwood Hall. A variety of soups, fixings for a salad, bread, dessert and beverage will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. The all-you-can-eat dinner is $10 per person. They will also have a 50-50 drawing. The event is a fundraiser to heat the buildings. The hall is on 178 Beechwood Store Road, off U.S. 2, about 7.5 miles west of Iron River.
