IM-K GFWC plans meeting on April 5

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Clubs will meet at noon Friday, April 5, at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain. A play written by club president Gail Galotta will be presented. Members will take part in the play. The luncheon menu includes chicken dumpling soup, grilled ham and cheese sandwich, coffee and dessert. Cost is $18 all inclusive. Doll club meeting Thursday

EAGLE RIVER — The Enchanted Doll Club of the Northwoods will have its monthly meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday in the meeting room of the Kalmar Center, 1011 N. Railroad St. in Eagle River. Arlene Vlies of Pelican Lake will present a program on the doll artist and writer Wendy Lawton. Lawton began her career in 1979 creating dolls of porcelain or porcelain and wood in small editions. Cribbage tournament on Saturday

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50 of Iron Mountain will host its monthly cribbage tournament Saturday. Games start at 1 p.m. Cost is $20 a team. Those interested can sign up at the bar or show up Saturday.
