Healing and Anointing service set
IRON MOUNTAIN — Holy Trinity Episcopal Church will introduce an evening Healing and Anointing service at 6 p.m. Thursday at the church, 221 W. B St. in Iron Mountain.
The service will include a laying on of hands and anointing with holy oil; followed by Holy Eucharist.
The laying on of hands is a significant ritual action in several of the church rites. It is the external sign of the bestowal of God’s grace through the prayer or ministry of the one laying on hands, whether for spiritual growth or ministry or for forgiveness and healing.
