Volley for a Cure fundraiser planned
IRON MOUNTAIN — Volleyball players across the country have been doing their part to raise awareness during National Breast Cancer Awareness in the month of October.
This year, Iron Mountain High School has once again become actively involved. Tuesday’s home volleyball match again Gwinn has been designated as “Volley for the Cure” game.
They are asking individuals and area businesses for donations to help with this cause. Money collected will be donated to the local Cancer Closet, the hospital’s cancer unit and/or the local American Cancer Association.
Iron Mountain senior volleyball player and cancer survivor Lexi Hagan and her family will be the honorary family for the evening.
Anyone interested in donating can make checks payable to IMHS Volleyball. Donations can be mailed to IMHS Volleyball, c/o Lori Cevigney, JV Coach, East Elementary School, 300 W. B St., Iron Mountain, MI 49801.
