Members of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League have gathered for several sewing bees to complete 10 quilts for disaster relief in Huoma, La. They were bless by the Rev. Matt Ruesch in church and sent to the Rev. Richard Rudnik at Grace Lutheran Church in Houma for distribution to those in need. This is the third year the ladies have been making quilts. The first year the quilts were distributed to Texas and the second to Ocracoke Island, N.C. Barb Carlson served as coordinator.
