IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel will meet Thursday, April 21, at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain. Geno Basanese of the Michigan State Police will offer a program on scams.

A social hour with coffee will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a noon luncheon. A cash bar will also be available. The noon luncheon will feature roasted pork loin with rosemary potatoes, vegetable, and a roll for $18. A chef salad for $12 is available upon request when making reservations, either online or when contacted. No alterations may be made to either selection. All selections will include a dessert.

Note that anyone who makes a reservation is expected to make arrangements to pay for and pick up their meal selection if they are unable to attend the meeting.

The calling committee will be contacting members. If you have not been contacted by noon Thursday, email MARSP at dcmarsp@gmail.com or call Pam Trask at 906-779-9157 to make a reservation. For those who need to add or cancel reservations, the deadline is noon Friday.

Members are asked to bring canned goods (four of each kind) to be donated to the four food pantries MARSP supports. They will also collect used eyeglasses at the meeting.

This meeting is for MARSP members and their spouses, but any retiree from the Michigan public schools who is interested in joining MARSP or renewing their membership is welcome.
