N-V Women’s Club plans spaghetti dinner fundraiser Saturday

NORWAY — The Norway-Vulcan Women's Club will host its annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Grace Methodist Church, 130 Odill Drive in Norway. The meal will consist spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and a beverage. Cost is $12 for adults and children age 12 and older; $6 for ages 11 to 6 and free for ages 5 and younger. All proceeds are for the club projects and scholarships.

Soup and Salad Bar on Saturday

IRON RIVER — The Beechwood Historical Society will host a Soup and Salad Bar from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Beechwood Hall. The event includes a variety of soups, fixings for a salad, bread, dessert and drink. The cost for the all-you-can-eat meal is $10 per person. There will also be a 50-50 raffle. All money raised goes toward preserving their buildings. The Beechwood Hall is at 178 Beechwood Store Road, off U.S. 2 about 7.5 miles west of Iron River.

Ham radio class set for Saturday

KINGSFORD — A ham radio 101 program will be offered from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Kingsford. Attendees are invited to learn about ham radio and find out how to get a technician license. Information will be provided on future classes and a test date.
