IRON MOUNTAIN — Fred and Cynthia Giachino celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage on July 11. They shared an intimate, family dinner at El Capitan with their loved ones. In attendance were their daughters, Sara and Kelly (son-in-law Todd, grandchildren Abram and Aurelia); dear family friend Jenna; and sisters Karyl and Connie (brother-in -law Mel). CRYSTAL FALLS — Edward and Elizabeth (Garavet) Petroff of Crystal Falls recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Due to the pandemic, the family dinner party has been postponed. The couple was married July 15, 1950, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Gaastra. Lifelong residents of the Upper Peninsula, Ed and Liz both retired from AT&T in Marquette.
