MENOMINEE — A Menominee County Sheriff’s deputy is under investigation for possible criminal sexual conduct involving a 16-year-old Menominee High School student.

The investigation began after Michigan Child Protective Services notified authorities, according to a news release from the Menominee Police Department.

Menominee police have requested a warrant and authorization of potential criminal charges from Menominee County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey Rogg. The deputy’s name has not been released.
