Mechatronics grant

Janet Spring, board member of the Dickinson Area Community Foundation and the Norway Area Community Foundation, selected the Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District Mechatronics Program as the recipient of a “Make My Day” mini-grant. The “Make My Day” grant initiative encouraged DACF board members to select a local charity to receive funding and “Make Their Day.” The Mechatronics Program at the DIISD will use the funds to purchase electronic and soldering equipment along with DVDs to aid in introducing students to industrial maintenance to train for the trades and become skilled technicians and engineers. From left are, Tamara Juul, director of DACF, Janet Spring, board member, presenting the check to Susan Sturm, program instructor and seated, Jacob Spring, Norway-Vulcan High School student enrolled in the program.
