Forest Park board to interview superintendent candidates
CRYSTAL FALLS — The Forest Park Public Schools Board of Education will conduct initial interviews for candidates seeking to become their next superintendent, replacing Becky Waters, who will retire June 30.
“We greatly appreciate the dedicated service and leadership Superintendent Waters has provided for our school district and community,” said board president Jim Nocerini. “She will be greatly missed.”
The board understands and respects the importance of selecting the school’s next educational leader, Nocerini continued.
“We are pleased with the quality of interested candidates,” he said. “This speaks highly of our proud school community and sets the standard in moving forward.”
First round interviews will take place Saturday in the Forest Park Elementary School multi-purpose room. All interviews are open to the public.
Candidates selected for first round interviews Saturday are:
— 6: 30 a.m., Patrick Browne, current high school principal, Green Bay Notre Dame Academy High School, Green Bay, Wis.
— 9 a.m., Rico Meneghini, current K-8 principal, Norway-Vulcan Area Schools.
— 10:30 a.m.,Travis Depuydt, current K-12 principal, Carney-Nadeau Public School.
— 12:30 p.m., Christy Larson current superintendent, Belmont Community Schools, Belmont, Wis.
Second round interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week of March 16.
The board expects July 1 to be the projected start date for the next superintendent.
