Restrictions at Florence County Courthouse

FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence County Board asked the public Wednesday to do business by phone if able rather than come to the county courthouse “to protect the health, safety and well-being of those we serve and our employees” amid the coronavirus situation.

Those who do not know the phone number for the department they need can call the county clerk’s office at 715-528-3201 or go online to the web site at www.florencecountywi.com for a list of departments. Normal hours for the courthouse offices are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The county also has postponed all jury trials until after May 1. Essential court hearings and those with statutory or constitutional deadlines will continue to be scheduled and held as required. Those include, but are not limited to, juvenile hearings, emergency mental commitments, temporary restraining orders and injunctions, bail hearings and initial appearances for defendants in custody, and preliminary hearings if the time limits are not waived.

Starting at $3.50/week.
