Fireworks support

The Dickinson Area Community Foundation awarded a $250 mini-grant to the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 50. The funds will support the upcoming Fourth of July fireworks in Iron Mountain. Due to the cancellation of the Independence Day parade, the fireworks are in need of community support. Tamara Juul, director of DACF, presents the check to Mike Laydon, fireworks chairman. If you are able to donate, please mail a check in any amount to: “S.A.L. – Fireworks Fund,” P.O. Box 1046, Iron Mountain, MI 49801. The mission of the community foundation is to improve the quality of life for the residents of our communities. For more information, contact Juul at 906-774-3131, or go to www.dickinsonareacommunityfoundation.org.
