Three Iron County deaths linked to COVID-19

IRON RIVER — The Dickinson-Iron District Health Department has been notified of the death of three Iron County residents related to COVID-19.

“The Dickinson-Iron District Health Department would like to send its deepest sympathy to the families in these trying times,” said Daren Deyaert, health officer. “We will not be disclosing additional information about the individuals.”

These are the second, third and fourth Iron County deaths related to COVID-19 confirmed by the health agency.

The community is urged to continue to be cooperative with safety recommendations, Deyaert said today.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, people should wash their hands, stay home when sick, avoid close contact with sick people, and disinfect commonly touched surfaces. People should social distance when possible and wear a facemask.
