MARINETTE, Wis. — Authorities on Tuesday said they had made contact with Kevin Daley, reported as missing and endangered a week ago by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office.

Daley, 48, was in Stevens Point, Wis., where he was being assessed as to his physicial and mental wellbeing, said Marinette Sheriff Jerry Sauve.

Daley’s vehicle had been found in late November off Morgan Park Road in a remote area of northern Marinette County. Ground searches were conducted last week and a search was planned for this weekend as well.

The incident remains under investigation, Sauve said.

“The sheriff’s office would like to thank all those who have assisted in the previous searches and provided assistance in this investigation, he said.
