Powers woman dies in crash
POWERS — A Powers woman died early Tuesday after her vehicle crashed into a mobile home.
Michigan State Police from the Gladstone post were dispatched to the intersection of County Road 563 and Tower Road shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday after a report of the vehicle crashing into the residence. An investigation determined the vehicle, driven by Natalie Dombrowski, 21, of Powers, was eastbound on Tower Road at a high rate of speed. The vehicle went through the intersection at County Road 563, left the roadway, and struck the mobile home.
Dombrowski, who was the lone occupant, died before she could be airlifted for treatment.
The owner of the residence was home at the time of the crash but was uninjured, troopers said.
Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash, which is still under investigation.
