Iron County road work planned
CRYSTAL FALLS — Work is scheduled to start Tuesday on a 16-mile resurfacing project on U.S. 141 in Iron County.
The Michigan Department of Transportation will invest about $1.2 million to resurface the highway from the intersection with U.S. 2 in Crystal Falls and continuing north to Basilio Road. The project includes a scrub seal, single chip seal, fog seal, aggregate shoulders, and pavement markings.
Traffic will be maintained on US-141 using traffic shifts and single-lane closures using traffic regulators. The estimated completion date is early September, MDOT said.
