Suspect sought in Aurora robbery

JOSHUA PIETRANTONIO

FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a man in connection with the July 22 armed robbery of a liquor store in Aurora, Wis.

According to a post on the FCSO Facebook page, 42-year-old Joshua Pietrantonio is a wanted fugitive. Though the post does not mention the liquor store robbery, Sheriff Dan Miller confirmed Pietrantonio is a suspect.

Deputies were called to Tom & Jo’s Liquor Store on County Road N at 9:02 p.m. July 22 and assisted by surrounding law enforcement agencies, according to a previous news release from Miller. Few other details were made available on the robbery.

Pietrantonio is described as a white male, about 5 feet, 10 inches in height. The sheriff’s office warned he is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who might know Pietrantonio’s whereabouts or other information that could lead to his arrest should call the sheriff’s office at 715-528-3346 or 800-235-9897. Calls can be made anonymously.

According to another post on the FCSO Facebook page, there was a large police presence around Aurora Liquors on Monday evening, though the post states no crime happened at the store but it was being used as a staging area while authorities executed a search warrant nearby. Miller told The Daily News the search warrant also was connected to the armed robbery.
