Florence County School, city council meetings tonight

Florence County Board of Education will meet at 5:15 p.m. today in the auditorium of Florence High School. The agenda includes final approval of the 2021-22 budget and tax levy. The district’s annual meeting will follow at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. The agenda includes a presentation and hearing on the budget; a resolution for adoption of the tax levy; and resolutions to provide salaries to board members and reimbursement of board members’ expenses.

Iron Mountain City Council will meet at 6 p.m. today at Iron Mountain City Hall. The agenda includes a proposed amendment to the Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption Certificate approved for Boss Snowplow in 2020. The amendment would include an additional $6.275 million expansion.

Florence County Board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the courtroom of the courthouse in Florence. There will be a public hearing on a tentative supervisors redistricting plan, based on the 2020 census. The agenda also includes adoption of the 2020 audit results and approval to send a letter against closing the Nicolet National Bank in Florence County.
