FLORENCE, Wis. — The relationship between children and law enforcement is very important part of building strong communities.

The Shop with a Cop event, which takes approximately 30 kids from Florence and Dickinson Counties out for dinner and holiday shopping for their family, is one of the ways local law enforcement fosters these positive relationships.

Members of the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin DNR, Wisconsin State Patrol, Michigan State Patrol, and Kingsford Public Safety, will be hosting this year’s event on Dec. 15. This event is made possible by donations from Florence and Dickinson County businesses and citizens and they are again asking for support.
