Regional blood center needs O-negative and A-negative

MARQUETTE — The Upper Peninsula Regional Blood Center is experiencing a need for O-negative and A-negative blood types.

The UPRBC has collection sites in Marquette, Hancock and Escanaba and is the primary supplier of blood products to 13 Upper Peninsula hospitals.

Additionally, they partner with community organizations to host drives in various locations across our region.

This blood supply allows healthcare providers to treat patients with a wide variety of conditions. All blood donations stay in the Upper Peninsula; a single donation could save up to three lives and typically only takes an hour to complete.

Help make a difference in our community with a blood donation. To schedule an appointment or find a blood drive near you, call 906-449-1450.
