UP jobless rate in August falls to 5%

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Upper Peninsula’s not seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dipped to 5% in August, down from 5.2% in July and 5.4% a year ago, according to data released by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget.
