Sue A. DeRoeck

Sue was born Oct. 26, 1955, in Adrian, daughter of the late Charles and Claretta (Wotring) Seabolt. She married Louis “Corky” DeRoeck on Dec. 3, 1994. Sue worked as a hospital clerk for several years and also owned and operated a dry cleaning business with Corky for 13 years. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Norway. Sue enjoyed traveling, watching classic movies and was an exceptional cook. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Sue is survived by her husband, Corky; children, David (Libby) Gibbs Jr. of Osseo, Mich., Angela (Scott) Rissman of Jackson, Mich., Kelly (Sal) Garza of Toledo, Ohio, Rachel (Steve) Kettler of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., Jake DeRoeck of Adrian and Whitney (Eleazar) Guerrero of Adrian; siblings, Jan Klaus of Brownsville, Texas, Kathy (Bob) Shingledecker of Ozark, Ark., Charlie Seabolt of Roscommon, Mich., John Seabolt of Hudson, Mich., and Darci Jakeway of Adrian; her father-in-law, Robert DeRoeck of Norway; many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Joy Hodges and Evlyn Fox; and her mother-in-law, Frances DeRoeck.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway.

A Memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Fr. Martin Flynn will officiate. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Marshfield Medical Center – Dickinson for the compassionate care given to Sue in her time of need.
