IRON MOUNTAIN — William “Bill” David Gustafson died peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2026. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 23, from 10 to 11:15 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron River. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Caspian, with Father Daniel Fous to officiate. He fought a valiant fight with ALS with grace and dignity. Memorials can be made to Iron County Youth Camp Batawagama or the ALS Society. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Jacobs Funeral Home Inc. of Iron River.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Kingsford. A service of witness to the resurrection will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Bob Malsack and the Rev. Dr. Ed Laarman will officiate. There will be a gathering outside the church in the pavilion immediately afterwards.
