CASPIAN — Frank C. Zanon, 91, of Caspian, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. A memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m., with Pastor Vicky Prewitt to officiate. Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery. The West Side Veterans will accord military rites at the graveside. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.

QUINNESEC — Jack Omer Peterson, 85, of Quinnesec, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2026, surrounded by his family at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers. Visitation will be on Friday, May 8, from 9 to 11 a.m. at American Martyrs Church in Kingsford. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at the church, with Father Greg Heikkala officiating. Interment will be held at the Quinnesec Cemetery. Arrangements were announced by the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.
