KINGSFORD – The Kingsford Athletic Booster Club is hosting a food drive to support the Breitung Township School’s Backpack Blessings during the Flivvers vs. Escanaba football game on Friday, Sept. 27.

Backpack Blessings is a program that sends food home each weekend to children in need. Fans are encouraged to bring three non-perishable items to the varsity football game, and they will receive a food voucher for a free hotdog or brat, popcorn and soda.

Items to consider donating include: fruit cups, small boxes of cereal, instant oatmeal, breakfast bars, granola bars, pudding cups, snack-sized vegetable cups, single-serving pasta meals, single-serving soup. Please be mindful of “best used by” dates.

All food collected will be donated to the Backpack Blessings and local food pantry programs.
